Educator: Preparing for Industry-Led Projects
Ready to give your students real-world experience that goes beyond traditional classroom projects?With Pathful's industry-led projects, you can assign authentic challenges that mirror actual workplace scenarios. Instead of academic exercises, students can tackle problems that industry professionals face every dayโfrom aerospace engineering to graphic design.
How to Get Started
Access and Preview Projects
Log into your Pathful Account.
Select Work-Based Learning.
Navigate to Projects.
Choose the project you'd like to assign to students.
Preview the project to download your teacher resources before assigning students.
Important! Students will have to navigate multiple steps of the project and should be well-supported during this process. Review all materials thoroughly first.
Assign Students to Projects
Go back to the project of interest and click Assign.
Complete the assignment setup:
Add the assignment title
Enter your name
Set the assignment start and end date
Select your group of students
Student names will appear under Users and you can select multiple to complete one project.
Click Create Assignment to finalize your groups.
Note: You can also go back to your assignment and add new users if needed.
Tips for Success
Here are some tips that can help you and your students prepare for success:
Review your teacher resources. Make note of student expectations and your desired timeline for the project.
Assign multiple students to encourage group collaboration and team problem-solving.
Consider requesting a mentor during various steps of the project. You can request an initial meeting, mid-point check-in, and invite them to the final presentations.
Notify students once they've been assigned to check their account. They'll be able to navigate the project there.
