FAQ-Career Plans

Last updated About 1 month ago

Why does my student see "Submit for Review" now? Their district turned on review schedules as part of their Configuration Profile.

Why is this plan locked and can't be edited? The plan has been submitted or reviewed (depending on the district's configuration), which locks it. Students can still view it.

How does a parent or guardian sign? Through the Family Access portal, which launched alongside this release. If a guardian is unable to sign, a counselor can record the approval on their behalf.

Does every district require a signature? No. Whether students sign, whether a guardian acknowledgment is required, and when the plan locks are all configured individually by the district.

Is there a template for my state? Seven states have ready-made starting templates today: Tennessee, North Carolina, Texas, Maryland, South Carolina, Nevada, and Minnesota. Other states can copy an existing profile or build one from scratch.

Can Pathful staff turn this on for us? No. Activation is always a district or school admin action inside System Configuration.

Why doesn't my export match the rows I see on screen? Downloads always contain each student's current plan, regardless of report filters. This can cause the file count to differ from what the filtered report shows.

How do I know when my download is ready? Watch for the badge on the profile menu, or check the Downloads page directly. There is no email notification.

My download has been spinning for a long time. What do I do? If Bulk Downloads get Stuck, please reach out to support@pathful.com

Where do I find my caseload? In the Counselor Center, under the new Manage Career Plans view.

Can a school admin override a district admin's license assignment (or vice versa) by accident? No. License assignment now respects the org hierarchy, which prevents accidental overrides between district and school admins.
