Overview of Lessons
There are 26 pre-built Pathful Junior Lessons designed and categorized by Career Clusters and grade levels. The number of Lessons available to you is based on the package your school or district purchased.
Useful Information:- Each Lesson begins by introducing the Career Crew.
- Students go between video content and activities throughout each Lesson.
- Students can start and stop lessons at any time, and their progress will be saved.
- Students must complete a Lesson in a linear fashion- they cannot jump around.
- When students complete a Lesson, they can restart it to watch the videos again or interact with the activities.
- When students complete a Lesson, they will also complete a puzzle to earn their badge. The badge will appear under the students' avatar. (Badges automatically appear regardless of how the lesson is completed- teacher-guided or student-driven).
- Click on Lessons on the left menu.
- In the Image column:
- K-1 Lessons have green backgrounds
- 2-3 Lessons have blue backgrounds
- 4-5 Lessons have orange backgrounds
- Click on the Name / Cluster to see assignment details about the Lesson.
- The Grades column indicates the grade level for which the lesson is appropriate.
- NOTE: Students will not see the designated grade level on their end, allowing teachers to assign Lessons to individual students or groups as the teacher deems appropriate.
- The Assignments column shows the number of times you have assigned this Lesson.
- The Assigned To column shows the number of students to which you have assigned this Lesson.
- The Lesson Resources is a drop-down menu that shows an outline and other activities associated with that Lesson.
- The Lesson Outline will open on a new screen.
- The Lesson Outline document includes a Lesson Summary, Jobs Featured, Additional Terms Introduced, Learning Targets, and Standards (National Career Development Guidelines, ASCA Mindsets, and Behavior Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, etc.).
- The Activities links will also open on a new screen and shows the actual activity and an answer key. These activities are things such as a word search, crossword puzzle, or arranging an alphabetical word list.
- The Actions column allows you to do the following:
- Preview the Lesson.
- Allows you to see the Lesson from the student's perspective.
- NOTE: You can quickly move through the Lesson by clicking the progress bar at the lower left and click "Control" and "i" at the same time. This allows teachers and admins to move to different areas within the Lesson without having to watch each section or complete every activity. (This option is NOT available to students).
- Assign the Lesson.
- Once you click the Assign button, you will be redirected to a new screen where you can customize the specifics of the assignment.
- Preview the Lesson.
- The Bulk Assign Tool allows you to assign the Lesson to a group of students instead of choosing students individually.
- You can also Export Lesson data to an Excel file for your records.
