Mentor Students Through Industry-Led Projects
Industry-led projects connect students with authentic workplace challenges where they work through different stages of a real-life industry problem to find the best solutions. As a Pathful mentor, you'll be the guiding voice for a group of students, sharing your expertise at key moments in their journey.
Students will look to you for insights about industry roles and responsibilities, guidance on their research approach, and authentic feedback on their solutions. You'll see students grow in real-time while helping them understand what it really takes to succeed in your industry.

How to Get Started
Express your interest by completing our mentor interest form.
Teachers will request one or multiple sessions with you to help guide students through completion of their project.
Participate in key meetings with students:
Introduction session
Mid-project check-in
Final presentations
It's just a few meetings with the students, but the impact is huge! You're not just helping students learn, you're building the workforce pipeline your industry needs. Students will graduate with real skills and real understanding of what you do.
Tips for Success
When preparing to meet with students, here are some tips that will help:
Review your professional guide and check your email regularly. After signing up to be a mentor for one of the projects, a Pathful staff member will email you with a professional guide, containing the project overview and student resources. Pathful staff will follow up with you to check your availability for future meetings with the students.
Schedule a quick meeting if you have questions. Feel free to schedule a quick meeting with a member of our team to discuss more. The link will be provided in the initial email.
Be prepared to speak with a group of students. Students should be working on the project as a group and distributing tasks. Encourage all students to contribute to the meeting and success of the project.
Share your personal experiences and career insights! A big part of mentoring is establishing rapport. Try to find the right balance between building a relationship with students and setting an expectation for meeting the project goals.
Get excited! You're helping students get prepared for a career they'll love!
